Dear Father, we ask You to send Your Holy Spirit to remind us that You love us and accept us unconditionally and eternally through Your Son, Christ Jesus; yet, the accusations of those within our Christian community, of those amongst our friends and within our families who hurt us and make us feel “condemned.” Help us today to hear loudly and clearly Jesus’ “no condemnation” verdict. We ask in His precious name, the same who lives with You and the Holy Spirit, now and forever.
Father, we are thirsting for what only the presence of Your Holy Spirit can give us. And, we have frequently sought to quench our thirst through our own feeble efforts to secure a sense of worth and significance by ourselves. Please forgive us for the sake of Your Son who was crucified in our place and raised to LIFE to be our Source of new and eternal LIFE. Gracious Father, on this day when we celebrate our Mothers’ love, may we see in their desire to protect us from every danger, a compassion that is willing to risk life and limb for the sake of their child. And in this sheltering protection and compassion, send Your Holy Spirit to help us better understand and appreciate Jesus’ love for us. We ask in His name. Amen!
Father, through hearing Your in-Spirited holy Word, may we wholly trust that Your Son, Christ Jesus, is more than a good Man or a great Teacher; that, in fact, He truly is the God-Man who died on a cross for us and was loosed from death’s grip to sit forever and everywhere at Your right hand of power, giving us never-ending forgiveness, righteousness, and LIFE.
Father, again today, take us to the cross and the open tomb that we might experience the power of Your Holy Spirit to give us an eternal perspective. And with this new perspective, enable us to serve You by serving others with a selfless and other-directed love.
